Who am I?

Hi... I´m Sebastián Mena, and I´m studing cinema and tv at ¨Universidad de Chile¨. I love indie movies and shortfilms, actually I wasn´t sure about apply to this career or graphic design or architecture but anyways, I´m actually happy with my decition and I don´t regret about it.

I was born in Santiago Chile. I am 20 years old. At the moment I am in the first semester of my second year in the carreer.

...And about my hobbies and interests, I love animals, specially Dutchaund dogs, they are my favorites, but all the dogs of the world are very cute to me anyways. I love to paint and draw, to create things, it makes me feels relaxed, happy.
And I like to travel too but I haven´t travel far from Chile yet. 
Besides that, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, or also alone, watching movies or series.

Well, my favorites books are ¨No Te Ama¨, of Camila Gutierrez, and ¨The Virgin Suicides¨ of Jeffrey Eugenides. My favorite movie is ¨Les amours imaginaires¨, a canadian film of Xavier Dolan, who is also one of my favorites indie movies directors too, and I like all of his movies but this in particular is very special for me because it is the first movie that I watched of him. It´s about the story of two very best friends, one of them is a homosexual guy and the other is a heterosexual girl, and they both fall in love with the same person.


 And I don´t have like a ¨¨favorite food¨ it allways depends of my mood, but I think that a ¨Café Helado¨ in the eveninig is the best experience that you could have in this world.

What is my favourite piece of technology?

Well, my favourite piece of technology is my iphone haha, I know that it is not a very interesting piece, many people have one, and also I know that there are obsessed people with apple and all them devices of all the generation, even more about the most recent devices, but I really like mine a lot. My iphone is an iphone 6, y dad give it to me as a gift, and I just like it, I think that I like it because like any other phone (or many phones) you can call your friends and family, chat with them, even have videocalls, and also you can take nice pics and use your social applications and be notified of them. (and I use instagram a lot lol). Another reason that make it my favorite device it´s because of its size and of its digital and physical minimalist design. My favorite subject

Hi! well, I`m gonna talk about my favorite subject of this semester. The subject name it`s called ``Imagen y sociedad``. It is one of the theoric subjects of the carreer, and also it is shared with the students of journalism. In this class we make comments and critics about the image and all the things that this image specificly can (or could) represent. It is about the meaning of all the things that we can see and that also includes the meanings that actually we determinated by common sense. We analyze famous paints, sculptures and pictures or symbols of the history in them differents periods of time, and then we analyze the evolution of them and the contrast of the differents meanings between these images. For me, it is the best of the eight subjects that I take this semester because, the culture is something wich I consider a very interesting thing in my life.
